What are Types of Combined bearings?

KAVITSU Bearings  combined bearings are engineered to meet the specific technical demands of forklifts and mast manufacturers, ensuring optimal performance in these applications. Additionally, they excel in providing linear motion in various other types of equipment.

The design of KAVITSU combined bearings effectively distributes external loads into their constituent components, achieving superior load resolution. These bearings feature a unique configuration that enables seamless sharing of radial and axial loads, maintaining balance and stability during operation. By combining main and axial bearings, they efficiently handle both radial and axial loads, promoting smooth linear motion devoid of sliding friction.

This innovative design not only ensures smooth operation but also reduces wear and tear on supports and channels, resulting in significant power savings. Additionally, it effectively dampens vibration levels, leading to a quieter operational environment.

This system extends the lifespan of the bearings and the profile by minimizing the specific pressure between the bearing and the beam.

The assembly of the bearing is straightforward. A plate or shaft can be directly welded onto the soft axle of the bearing, and the welded bearing can then be inserted into the beam, making it ready for immediate use.

All rolling components are crafted from alloy steel and undergo proper heat treatment to achieve the standard bearing hardness (60 HRC). The bearing comprises an inner race, outer race, center pin, welding bolt, and radial ring.

Filled with lifelong lubricating grease and equipped with rubber sealing, the bearing is protected from leakage, dust, and other foreign particles. Special greasing arrangements are made for applications where environmental conditions are exceptionally harsh.

The bearings are produced in two distinct series: LIGHT and HEAVY.

LIGHT series bearings feature outer diameters ranging from 52mm to 150mm, ideal for integration into channels or I-sections as per requirements. For heavy-duty applications, larger outer diameters, ranging from 165mm to 309mm, are utilized with heavy channels or I-sections.

These bearings find widespread application in a variety of equipment such as pallet stackers, pallet lifters, telescopic forks, lift masts, tool changer systems for heavy molds in plastic molding machines, diverse die-changing systems, lift systems, eccentric lifting tables, robot tracks, multi-axis units, heavy load linear systems, pallet in-feeding stations, and fast picks.

Combined bearings, a specialized type of bearing, amalgamate two types of rolling elements, typically ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings, into a single unit. They are engineered to accommodate both radial and axial loads simultaneously, making them particularly suitable for applications where space constraints and heavy load requirements are prevalent. Within the LIGHT series, two main variants of combined bearings exist:

Both variants of the LIGHT series combined bearings  boast compact designs, high load-carrying capacities, and efficient performance. They are offered in a range of sizes and configurations to precisely match the diverse needs of various applications.

How Does a Slew Ring Bearing Work?

Slew ring bearings consist of inner and outer rings with a rolling element (ball or roller) interface between them. They allow rotational movement by supporting radial, axial, and moment loads simultaneously. The rings facilitate smooth rotation, ensuring the transfer of loads from the equipment to the bearing, and subsequently to the mounting structure.

The key to their functionality lies in the design, precision assembly, and choice of materials, enabling these bearings to handle substantial loads while maintaining their structural integrity and rotational capabilities.
